We have lessons for everyone from beginners to advanced players; for all age groups. Our school is one of the few that offers a unique opportunity to classes with a grandmaster! Don’t miss it!
Little Pawns: 30-minute class for kids ages 4-6 years. $20 for 1 lesson, two-week session. Program: history of chess, chess pieces, basic rules, elementary tactics, playing and analyzing games, craft activities (creating pieces from paper, coloring them, etc.).
Young Knights: 45-minute class for kids ages 7 and older who have no experience in chess. $30 for 1 lesson, two-week session. Program: chess notation, chess pieces, basic rules, elementary tactics, history of chess, playing and analyzing games.
Brave Rooks: 45-minute class for kids ages 7 and older who have experience in chess. $30 for 1 lesson, two-week session. Program: advanced chess tactics; calculation techniques (bush, trunk, candidate moves), advanced endgames, positional play, the development of imagination in chess.
Playtime: 90-minute class for kids of all ages and all levels. $35 for 1 lesson (discount of 10 dollars for kids who attend Little Pawns, Young Knights, or Brave Rooks (will be sent as promo code after registration)). Program: kids have chess practice in this session: playing against each other and the coach.
Playtime is more about practice; in contrast, regular lessons are more educational and focused on learning new aspects and theory of chess. We strongly believe that for the best results and balanced development kids should attend both sessions because they need to practice the theory that they learned in the lesson. When students have the opportunity to play practice games, they become more enthusiastic about the learning process and learn the material better.
